Virginia Hemsley
Ginny graduated from Temple University in 2004 with a Master of Occupational Therapy. After graduating from Temple University, Ginny spent time volunteering her occupational therapy services in the leprosy colonies of southern India. When she returned to Atlanta Ginny joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as a floating therapist working at both their Comprehensive Inpatient Rehab Unit and their Pediatric Day Rehab for brain injury. Shortly after joining Children’s Healthcare, Ginny took a full time position in their Alpharetta outpatient center where she worked for 3 years with children from birth to age 21. Following her time at Children’s Ginny did work for the Georgia early intervention program Babies Can’t Wait, treating children from birth to age 3. More recently she has moved to the Gwinnett County Public School System. Along with her patients at Special Needs Pediatric Therapy she currently works with children ages 3 through 10 at several elementary schools in Lawrenceville. Ginny has been certified in Yoga for the Child with Special Needs and Interactive Metronome Therapy. She has had training in the Hand Writing Without Tears program and the ALERT program. She also has experience in the areas of feeding therapy, sensory integration and splinting
